A: Common patients (non– diabetics)
Adult patients:
1. Eat solid food up to 8 hours before surgery + water up to 1 hour before surgery + milk up to 4 hours before surgery.
2. patients do not take Aspirin– Coumadin (warfarin)– pavix– osvix tablets in co– ordination with the physician don’t use. Blood glucose control drugs contain gliben clamid– metformin– glycosine, any medication used for various illnesses should be taken at night and in the morning before coming to the hospital.
3. any injections injected for various illnesses should be injected at night and before the surgery (except for insulin– enoxaparin– heparin ampoules).
4. Patients should refrain from bringing any jewelry, such as gold and silver, to the hospital.
5. Patients should bring all in the medical (record) tests– ECG– EEG– radiologic images– tissue scans and MRI– EMG, NGV tape– ear– ultrasound tape– associated with the disease.
6. patients should bring any pills or medication they take.
7. patients bring any respiratory spray they take to the hospital.
8. Addicted patients can use their drugs like previous days.
9. female patients should refrain from using any nail polish and cosmetics.
10. patients report anesthesiologist if they have an artificial denture or crochet when entering the operating room.
11. take bath before surgery , and shave the area of operation.
12. gentle men shave their faces.
B: Patients under 12 years of age.
1. milk eaters can eat milk for up to 6 hours before surgery and drink water and syrup up to 4 hours before the operation.
2. Eating children do not eat 8 hours before the operation, but can drink water op to 2 hours before the operation.
3. the child, accompany should be fully informed of the general condition of the child and speak with the anesthesiology before the opetation.
C: Essential information
Patients undergoing surgery should call to admission union, the night before operation at 10 o’clock except of holidays and Friday.
